Chabad of Tulum

Feel at Home!

Support Kindness & Hospitality - Spread Judaism & Spirituality!

Tulum, Mexico is a charming coastal town and a serene paradise of nature. This eco-destination attracts over two million tourists each year. Its green jungles and peaceful surroundings make it a sought-after sanctuary for spirituality and inner healing. However, until five years ago, Jewish tourists and locals could not access kosher food, meaningful prayers, or divine inspiration.

In 2019, Rabbi Netanel and Linor Binyamini embarked on a mission to make Judaism and spirituality accessible in Tulum. They established Chabad of Tulum in their small apartment, welcoming Jews from all walks of life.

Five years later, Chabad of Tulum has flourished. The small apartment has transformed into a 2,500-meter property, housing the Rabbi's home, an eco-synagogue, a kosher restaurant, and a welcoming lounge. Over these years, one constant remains — Rabbi Netanel and Linor's exceptional kindness and hospitality, making every visitor feel like part of the family.

The Chabad Center, with its serene natural surroundings and eco-friendly atmosphere, offers a deeply spiritual experience. Amidst the calm ambiance of the jungle sounds, one can join a soulful prayer service or an enchanting Tanya class under the stars.

At times, Chabad buzzes with vibrant energy as diverse crowds unite in soul, song, and harmony. Weekly BBQs, festive Shabbat dinners, and musical Havdalah ceremonies are just a few examples.

For Tulum’s small Jewish population, the Chabad center has become a crucial hub for Jewish life and a pillar for its Jewish future. Many Israeli backpackers and uninitiated Jews get their first taste of Judaism here, laying Tefillin, lighting Shabbat candles, and absorbing the Torah’s wisdom. Observant Jews, in turn, find kosher food and a Minyan, making their dream vacation a reality.

As Chabad of Tulum thrives, our budget grows. We need your support to continue enriching the lives of our local community and the thousands of Jewish visitors we welcome each year. Together, we can ensure that every Jewish person, whether local or tourist, religious or secular, feels at home at Chabad of Tulum. Support kindness and hospitality and spread Judaism and spirituality!

A Window into Our Future:

Chabad of Tulum is just getting started!

Our future plans consist of purchasing a new property and building a new ecological Chabad center. In addition to enhancing our current services (synagogue, kosher restaurant, hospitality lounge, etc.), the new ecological center will offer many of the spiritual-healing workshops that draw people to Tulum, including yoga, sound healing, meditation, and more!

Each workshop will be crafted according to the Torah’s teachings, giving fellow Jews the opportunity to find inner healing in a pure, kosher, and soulful manner.

Stay tuned for exciting updates in the future!
